Christmas 2011 decorations

Gilded nuts and gold candles that mimic tree branches and logs.
A trio of glittered gold snowflake wreaths with Chocolate colored satin.

Fresh potpourri and dried fruits and spices.

Another batch artfully arranged.

Tinsel trees add shimmer.

I just got these cute birds in this odd rose color.

Room Pics..

I love this pewter wall plaque. And another small Cosmo arrangement.

These candles are so cool.
They are from the 80s and a little Dungeons and Dragons fairy like but look right at home with a touch of whimsy.

I love these hand carved hares.
One is the top of an antique walking cane the other a bottle opener.

Another much larger candle.
Apparently when you light these eventually the wax streams from the mans eyes.

Early Summer.

Means weeding for hours. And after every rain there are more weeds to contend with...

If only all my plants grew like cosmos.

Creeping ground cover near wild strawberry plants.

Weeds abound!

In my room I recently had Peony's and Lupines intertwined with clematis flowers.

This arrangement was on the top of my new Faux Bois table.
It cost a small fortune to ship and a tax refund to build.
Look at the rainbow that was forming on it from a sun kissed chandelier prism.

Rainbow covered wood grain. It weighs 200+ lbs
.
Pretty pink sky.

Current tabletop display.

Random Pics.

Here are some photos from the past few weeks.

In between Lilacs and Peony there is the lovely wild phlox.

This poet's narcissus makes a fragrant display.

Lilacs of course..

And Phlox! I love it!
It grows along the bank of the river and the whole property smells sweet for 2 weeks.

The river bank. It will be solid shades of White, Purple and Lavender in a couple days.

Easter Sunday.

As I locate more decorations they went up.
This isn't even the half of it.

A small bud vase holding spring blooms.

Mantel. Vintage Easter toys.

My mom made this duck for my eldest sisters first Easter. We didn't have a lot of money so she had to finish the left foot in the beaks yarn.

Its getting out of control.

The front hall had candies available.

We had a wonderful Easter!

Egg shaped prisms.

Easter tins with Garish McCoy hyacinth vase.

Baby Food dish featuring Uncle Wiggly.

Bunnies, Bunnies Everywhere..

Little tin eggs. I still have 2 of the four my aunt gave to me years ago.
I had to replace the rest.

Its another reason to have an over the top display.
